Moving a fixture to a new location is a different job. It changes the supply and drain runs, so there is more behind it than a swap. We tell you up front which side of that line your project is on, because it changes the price and the timeline.
Old shutoffs and supply lines are worth doing now
The small valve under a sink or behind a toilet is the thing that lets you stop water at that fixture in a hurry. On older homes those valves are often seized, and the braided or plastic supply lines feeding them have a real service life. Neither is expensive to replace on a planned visit.
Both become expensive on an unplanned one. A supply line that lets go while you are out is a flooded floor; a shutoff that will not close turns a five-minute fix into an emergency. When we are already under a sink, replacing a tired valve or line is cheap insurance.
